Trailside Guest House is a renovated house at the west end of Madrid’s uptown area. It is located next door to Trailside Rentals and is about one block north of Madrid’s main uptown entrance to the High Trestle Trail. The original part of the house was built in 1902, and it was enlarged at least twice in the following decades. The Art House Guest Suite was a former art gallery on State Street in downtown Madrid. We remodeled the facility into a family guest suite. It is only two blocks from the Guest House and our bike rental shop.

Food and beverage options
For a delicious full hot breakfast or lunch, we highly recommend the Town and Country Café just down the street at 213 W 2nd Street. They serve traditional breakfasts and a variety of burgers and other sandwiches, plus daily specials and desserts. They are open Monday through Saturday for takeout only. Pancho Villa on Highway 17 is a locally owned Mexican restaurant that is open seven days a week. They are open for inside dining or takeout.
